Dublin midfielder Michael Darragh Macauley has accused Mick Lillis of gamesmanship following the Laois manager’s claim he’s ‘terrified’ of facing the All-Ireland champions.

Lillis stated after his team’s first-round win over Wicklow, which sealed a June 4 quarter-final tie with Dublin, that it’s “not David and Goliath — it’s probably David and Goliath’s bigger brother’’, labeling the four-in-a-row Allianz league winners “a monster”.

Laois lost to Dublin by 11 points in the 2014 Championship but are the last Leinster county to push the Sky Blues close having run them to within three points in the 2012 All-Ireland quarter-finals.
