Dominant Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh get off to a flyer

Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh 3-15 Newmarket 1-9: Béal Áthán Ghaorthaidh rattled off an impressive victory at the expense of Newmarket in the opening round of the Cork Premier IFC at Macroom yesterday.

Apart from a close opening 10 minutes, the Gaeltacht boys controlled almost every facet of the game, defensively solid, dominant at midfield and devastating up front.

Not to be outdone, wing back Cian Dineen grabbed a 2-1 tally, with manager Ger McCarthy none too surprised by his scoring contribution.
