Tipp must travel to Cusack Park for pick of hurling league quarter-finals

Clare have won the toss for venue for their Allianz HL quarter-final clash with Tipperary.

Tipp must travel to Cusack Park for pick of hurling league quarter-finals

After the disappointment of yesterday's Division 1B defeat by Clare, Limerick must regroup for a trip to Parnell Park to play Dublin. Kilkenny will entertain Offaly, while Waterford will make the trip to Wexford Park.

Speaking after yesterday's easy win over Cork that confirmed Tipp's place in the knock-out stages, manager Michael Ryan admitted the Semple Stadium pitch would probably benefit from a rest.

"We'd prefer Thurles to an extent, but the pitch is suffering out there. I think it needs some time. We'll play it anywhere. But no problem with Ennis. I just know we'll get a really good game."

"We're thrilled to be in the league quarter-final. That's where we want to be. These matches will be excellent preparation for championship. And a national title at the end of it, for whoever's still standing."

Ryan confirmed that injured forward Patrick Maher, who missed the draw with Galway and win over Cork, will be available for the Clare match.

"Bonner is recuperating at this point in time. It's not a new knock. Bonner will be fine for the league quarter-finals."
