The Orchard easy pickings for Cavan

Cavan 3-18 Armagh 0-10: It was all too easy for Cavan as they trounced a dismal Armagh side in a lop-sided NFL Division Two encounter at an icy cold Kingspan/Breffni Park.

Armagh enjoyed a spring-heeled start to the game and a gem of a point by half-back Stephen Sheridan helped them lead by 0-3 to 0-0 lead after just five minutes but then their form simply nosedived.

The Orchard County found themselves perched on the slippery slope for most of the first half and even two classy Stefan Campbell frees couldn’t prevent them trailing by 0-5 to 1-11 at the interval.
