Kilkenny hurlers’ cruel nickname for Cillian Buckley might provide a tactical clue for Waterford

Kilkenny’s Cillian Buckley had this to say:
“I get a bit of a slagging for not being able to hit the ball off my bad side. The boys call me "Slow and One-Sided". I don’t know what you can really do to improve that, but if there was one thing, I’d try and silence a few of them and hit it as far as I can.”
Something to target perhaps for the Déise in Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final.
While Kerry’s James O’Donoghue is currently more concerned about his shoulder, it was another physical feature troubling him when this piece was recorded.
"I’d make my nose a tiny bit smaller because that’s what the boys slag me about 24/7.”
Tipp’s Kieran Bergin also fancies a nose job:
“Probably my broken nose. Apart from being broken so many times and having a big hump on it, it affects my breathing now as well.”
Other makeover requests included:
Conor McManus, Monaghan: “I’d get myself better hips. At least I’d have a lot less struggle with rehab and injury.”
Galway’s Andy Smith: “To be four inches higher, so I could win more aerial balls.”
Waterford’s Noel Connors: “I’d probably change the time I spend critically analysing myself as an individual, particularly in terms of defeat.”
Cillian O’Connor, Mayo: “I would probably be able to play music, because that’s a nice thing to be able to do and I wish I could do that.”
Philly McMahon, Dublin: “I would like to be able to sing. I can’t sing.”
