A superb Kerry South team lived up to their tag as favourites with an easy victory over Cork in Saturday’s Munster U16 football Tournament Cup final in Rathkeale’s Mick Neville Park.
Goals by Aaron McCarthy and Brian Friel moved them into a lead of 2-7 to 0-3 at the break. Any hopes of a Cork comeback died when Friel bagged his second before John Hodnett grabbed a consolation for Cork.
