HawkEye set for trial run at Thurles this weekend

HawkEye will have its final battery of tests in Semple Stadium on Sunday before its anticipated debut there next month.

The score detection technology won’t be used in a live capacity in either of the two games in Thurles, the Cork-Waterford Division 1 final nor the camogie league decider between Cork and Galway. However, the legitimacy of scoring efforts will be assessed privately.

It’s not yet been officially confirmed the system will be operation in time for the Clare-Limerick Munster quarter-final clash in Thurles on May 24.
