Eamon O’Shea: Tipperary rewarded for doing the right thing
O’Shea wasn’t too surprised with this win, which at one stage could have been a 22-point reverse on their 12-point defeat to Dublin in Parnell Park. Not because they had done anything different to last week, he was keen to maintain. “Nothing,” he said. “You don’t do things differently when you’re doing the right thing.”
“I’m not too worked up about them (league games) but you like your league games to reflect something you think you’re doing right. I think we’re doing things okay,” said O’Shea, who explained he had as few as 18 players available at training some nights due to players’ Fitzgibbon Cup duties.
Anthony Cunningham rued Galway’s concession of the two second-half goals.
“Great fightback in the second half, great performance in parts but we would be very disappointed with giving away two soft goals on the restart,” he said.
