Leinster official laments huge gulf in standard

One of the top ranking officials in Leinster GAA has bemoaned the "poor level of competition" in the provincial senior championship in the wake of Dublin’s comfortable route to a ninth title in 10 seasons last year.

Leinster secretary, Michael Reynolds, makes his comments in his report for the upcoming convention, adding that while admiring the Dubs’ style of play, there must be concerns about the significant gaps that are emerging.

He reveals that discussions have been had in a bid to address the situation, with proposals on what measures can be taken expected shortly.
