Galway ease into decider

Galway kept up the momentum in the FBD League as they eased to victory over GMIT in Moycullen. They eased into a 0-8 to 0-1 lead at half-time in another game where new manager Kevin Walsh experimented.

There were standout performances from midfielder Tom Flynn, keeper Thomas Dolan and wing-back Johnny Heaney as Galway eased into next Sunday’s final against Roscommon.

The Tribesmen got an early foothold with points from full-forward Oisin O’Brien and Keith Kelly and they never looked back.

Galway made five changes at the break but pushed on with Cathal Sweeney finding the net.
