Tyrone on course for McKenna Cup title after another victory

Holders Tyrone are on course for a fourth successive Dr McKenna Cup title, Kyle Coney’s goal enough to send them through to a semi-final clash with Armagh.

The Athletic Grounds will host the second clash this season of these fierce rivals on Wednesday evening. The Red Hands led 0-7 to 0-4 at the break, and Coney slotted home the only goal early in the second half, capitalising on a mistake by goalkeeper Chris Kerr, who saved his side from an even heavier defeat with three excellent saves.
