UCC to face Cork IT in Sigerson Cup

Sigerson Cup handed holders and hosts UCC face a mouthwatering round 1 derby opener with Cork IT, following the draws, which were made yesterday.

The winners must overcome Sligo IT or Queens in the quarter-finals to make the February finals weekend.

Fitzgibbon Cup champions Waterford IT have been drawn alongside IT Carlow, Maynooth University and Mary Immaculate College in Group C.

The beaten 2014 finalists Cork IT will feature in Group A while UCC are in a tough looking Group B with NUIG, UL and GMIT.
