GAA Director General Paraic Duffy has poured cold water on the notion of constructing a 40,000 capacity stadium close to the M50 motorway any time soon.

GAA President Liam O’Neill stated recently while on the All Stars tour that a mid-capacity stadium in the eastern region was vital.

O’Neill suggested that the Leinster Council “has the situation on their hands where they have to develop a stadium that holds 40,000. I think that’s the next one now”.
