Carrickmore reach final
A two-point win in a tense contest earned them a meeting with Omagh in the final, a repeat of the 2005 decider.
Carrickmore grabbed a 10th-minute goal through Paul McAleer, but Ardboe fought back with a string of points.
But they were hit by Carrickmore’s spectacular second goal, Niall Loughran flying through the air to fist home Finbar Magill’s delivery in the 27th minute.
Once again, Ardboe responded with a couple of Kyle Coney, left, frees, but they trailed by 2-2 to 0-6 at the interval.
Ardboe lost Shay McGuigan to a second yellow card 10 minutes into the second half, and fell further behind to points from Mickey Slane and Caolan Daly.
While the Rossas pulled back scores through Kyle Coney, Paul Coney and Tommy McGuigan, they were unable to peg back the championship specialists.
Jason McAnulla grabbed a dramatic stoppage-time goal to send Omagh through with a 1-7 to 0-9 win over Dromore.
Devastated Dromore were just moments from a place in the Hunky Dorys decider after easing two points clear with late scores from Emmet O’Neill and Ruairi Sludden.
The St Enda’s men were down to 14 men following the dismissal of Ronan O’Neill, but they found a way back into the game with an explosive finish.
Tyrone attacker O’Neill had just brought the sides level for the sixth time in the 58th minute when he was sent off but Barry Tierney crossed to the far post in the 62nd minute for McAnulla to rise and score the precious goal.
