Mulholland expects Galway to thrive on quick turnaround
The Tribesmen defeated Tipperary on Saturday and Mulholland said they are well equipped to deal with playing eight days later.
“It is entirely different going into this one on the back of a victory rather than, say, dealing with a match the week after losing a Connacht final. We would like to think we have some momentum following the win and the lads can’t wait to get back out on the pitch. They really looking forward to Croke Park.
“We felt we had a lot of room for improvement after the Connacht final and we also believe we can do a lot better than we did against Tipp. The key thing now is to go out in Croke Park and do just that.”
Galway’s only injury worry is centre-back Gary O’Donnell who damaged a shoulder in the win over Tipperary.
“We are lucky that is our only injury worry as obviously there is so little time for players to recover,” added Mulholland.
