Treaty call Breen, Cork unchanged

David Breen will make his first competitive start of the year for Limerick in Sunday’s Munster hurling final against Cork.

Treaty call Breen, Cork unchanged

Breen underwent surgery at the end of February to correct a long-standing knee complaint, returning to the panel on the run in to their semi-final win over Tipperary. The Na Piarsaigh hurler, who did not feature in Thurles last time out, has been selected at left corner-forward, replacing Séan Tobin. The inclusion of Breen is the only change to the team which scored a 2-18 to 2-16 win over the Premier County.

Cork have named an unchanged team, with Mark Ellis (knee) and Damien Cahalane (foot) overcoming fitness scares. Cahalane was a major doubt, having picked up a freak foot injury when stepping on a medical vial in the shower following the county’s Munster football final defeat by Kerry last weekend.
