Cats keep faith in keeper Herity

Goalkeeper Eoin Murphy suffered an injury in that game in attempting to prevent Galway’s opening goal (hyper-extended elbow) and the man who replaced him, David Herity, retains his place, though Murphy — now fully recovered — is named among the substitutes. The defence and midfield remains as was but there are two changes in the attack, with hat-trick goal-scoring hero of the 2012 All-Ireland replay win, Walter Walsh, replacing Tommy Walsh, while John Power — who looked very sharp when introduced as a second-half sub in the win over Galway — taking over from Aidan Fogarty. Power is named at corner-forward, a switch with Larkin who starts on the edge of the square on this occasion.
Both Tommy Walsh and Fogarty are also named among the subs but both — Fogarty in particular, scorer of 1-1 from play in the second half against Galway— can county themselves unlucky.
The Kilkenny minor side has also been named, also facing Dublin, backboned by members of both St Kieran’s and Kilkenny CBS, the two sides who contested an all-Kilkenny All-Ireland colleges A final this year.
Ballyhale’s Darren Mullen misses out due to a serious knee injury and his place at right-half-back is now filled by Pat Lyng of the Rower Inistioge club.
