Cork hurling manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy has welcomed the confirmation of Páirc Uí Chaoimh as the venue for the Munster senior hurling final.

On Tuesday evening the Munster Council confirmed Cork will play Limerick in the provincial hurling decider on July 13, and Barry-Murphy said yesterday he was “delighted for the supporters” when he heard the news.

“They’ve travelled everywhere to support the team for the last couple of years and it’s only fair to them.
