“He is a major doubt,” manager Derek McGrath revealed last night. “We came back in on Tuesday night and with the first ball Jamie got he went over on his ankle.”

Barron made his championship debut against Clare last summer. Before this injury setback, he had displayed exciting form on the local circuit. He sent in 26 points over two recent rounds of the club championship for Fourmilewater to top the scoring charts.
