Cork’s Lorcán McLoughlin dismissed remarks by former goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack criticising the defence of Anthony Nash’s free-taking style.

Cusack was a member of the committee that formed a motion proposing that frees and penalties could not be advanced past the 20m line.

It came to be known as the ‘Nash motion’ based on the style current keeper Nash, the man who took over from Cusack, lifted the sliotar much higher so the strike took place on the 13m line.
