Tipp hoping to have Kelly and Corbett back against Clare
The 2001 and 2010 All-Ireland winners have not featured in Tipp’s opening two Allianz HL Division 1A fixtures because of hamstring injuries. But manager Eamon O’Shea is hoping to have his strongest hand to date available for the visit of the All-Ireland champions to Semple Stadium in under two weeks. Corbett returned to full training last week and while Kelly is slightly behind the Thurles Sarsman in terms of recovery, Tipperary’s assistant manager Michael Ryan indicated the experienced attackers are making steady progress.
“Hopefully after the week’s break, we’ll have a full compliment to choose from,” he said.
