Kindlon turns on style

Niamh Kindlon rolled back the years with a vintage display as her Monaghan side and Dublin shared the spoils in yesterday’s rearranged Tesco Homegrown Ladies NFL Division 1 fixture.

Kindlon, an All-Ireland senior medallist in 1997, scored 1-6 in a thrilling 1-13 apiece draw at Inniskeen which leaves the table-toppers locked on seven points after three rounds.

The sides were level three times in the opening minutes before Dublin’s Noelle Healy struck for the opening goal in the 11th minute for a 1-3 to 0-3 lead. Dublin were 1-6 to 0-5 clear before Kindlon took control. She converted a free to leave just three points between the sides before her goal, created by Cora Courtney, levelled the tie.
