Corca Dhuibhne find a bit extra

While the game went off without incident, once more a choice of venue left the winning manager, Eamonn Fitzmaurice, perplexed as there weren’t any shelter for spectators or dressing rooms.
“In fairness to the Ballyvourney club, the pitch was in great shape, bearing in mind how bad the weather has been. However, a perfect pitch with all the necessary facilities — the Dr Crokes pitch in Killarney was available — but for some strange reason, it was not fixed there, and it’s halfway for both sides. But from the point of view of the players, it was a disgrace that there wasn’t any dressing rooms for them to go into at half time, particularly with it being wet and so cold. (But) we are delighted to be still in the competition.”
