Cork and Waterford’s Munster quarter-final next May has been fixed for Semple Stadium.

Waterford had requested the council look into the possibility of staging the game in a refurbished Walsh Park as part of a possible home and away agreement with Cork for first-round games.

Munster chairman Robert Frost had also visited the stadium, which currently has a capacity of approximately 15,500 and will increase to 17,000 following completion of the works.
