Goalkeeper Susan Earner, defensive trio Sarah Dervan, Lorraine Ryan and Therese Maher, along with midfielder Niamh Kilkenny, centre-forward Niamh McGrath and corner-forward Ailish O’Reilly were all rewarded for their exploits this summer.

Player of the match in September’s final, Maher collected her fifth All Star, while it was a first award for 19-year old O’Reilly who scored the crucial goal in the final. Tribes boss Tony Ward picked up Manager of the Year for his double-winning efforts.

Defeated finalists Kilkenny had four players named on the team, while Jennifer O’Leary, selected at midfield, was Cork’s sole All Star winner. Offaly’s Elaine Dermody and Clare’s Chloe Morey were the first players from either county to win an All Star award.
