Limerick defender Gavin O’Mahony is hoping a new manager is appointed as soon as possible so that the players start their preparations in earnest to win an All-Ireland title next year.

The latest speculation surrounds TJ Ryan and Donal O’Grady in something of a role reversal with former selector Ryan taking over as manager and O’Grady, who he worked under, concentrating on coaching.
