Troy and Coughlan join Whelahan

Troy, an All-Ireland winner in 1994 and 1998, has enjoyed tremendous success with the county’s senior camogie side in recent years.
Current U21 boss Coughlan also had an impressive playing career, winning All-Ireland medals and All Stars in 1981 and 1985.
Whelahan said: “The day of a manager coming in and doing everything is gone. You are only as good as your backroom team. I will be looking for a very hands-on approach with my backroom team. I want them very involved in the training sessions and making sure that every person that togs out for Offaly in a training session or in match is working at their maximum. There will be no one trying to hide.”
Whelahan and his backroom team will be officially ratified at the November meeting of the Offaly County Board on November 19.
