Ó hAilpín was joined by family and friends including his brother Seán Óg and his sister Etaoin as he married long-term girlfriend U’ilani LaBoy.

Ó hAilpín tweeted: “Best day of my life getting married to my beautiful @UilaniLaBoy x x x.” His new wife tweeted: “Felt like a complete Princess on my Wedding Day.”

A central figure in Cork’s All-Ireland SHC campaign in 2003, when they lost the final to Kilkenny, Ó hAilpín then quit Ireland for a career in AFL with Carlton in Melbourne.

He joined Greater Western Sydney in late 2011 but was de-listed earlier this year.

He managed just eight games in two seasons in Sydney after snapping his anterior cruciate ligament on his debut for the Giants in 2012.

The Irishman kicked 82 goals from 88 AFL games in nine seasons.
