JBM: I thought we’d snatched it

Jimmy Barry-Murphy admits that the Cork fans weren’t the only ones who thought the Rebels had snatched a dramatic All-Ireland win against Clare two weeks ago.

“Yeah, I thought we had snatched victory and that’s something we just have to be a bit more aware of,” says Barry-Murphy.

“Clare had several opportunities during the game to close the match up maybe. It was just one of those days, a high scoring game, they got some fantastic points and we got goals that we needed badly to keep us in the game — and we hadn’t got goals all year.
