‘That year ended up like Eastenders really, one drama after another’

Eighteen years after they first met in the Munster championship, Clare’s Ollie Baker and Fergal Ryan of Cork came face to face again this week to recount the good, and not so good, days of their inter-county careers.

Fergal Ryan: “It was 1995, that game, the Munster championship semi-final, that was the first time I ever came across you and I’ll never~ forget it. I had been on the panel since 1993 but that was actually the first year I got a championship game.”

Ollie Baker: “It was my first year also.”
