Kerry must curb Cluxton kick-out, warns O’Leary

Back in the day, when John O’Leary was captaining Dublin to All-Ireland success, he recalled taking particular flak for his short-kick out policy.

“People in the stand were tearing their hair out over it. I know people who have gone bald because of it,” he laughed yesterday.

It was not a new strategy then and the man who would replace O’Leary as Dublin’s darling goalkeeper, Stephen Cluxton, has made a career out of his canny distribution methods.
