McCarron suffered a dead leg in the closing stages of last weekend’s win over Kildare at Newbridge, and had to be substituted in the 68th minute.
“He’s getting ice and treatment on it. We’ll just have to keep an eye on him,” said team trainer Fergal McCann.
Tyrone otherwise have a clean bill of health, with skipper Stephen O’Neill having come through with no adverse reaction from an Achilles problem which had kept him out of the games against Offaly and Roscommon.
“There’s nothing major, just bangs and bumps. Everybody has come fairly clear. It’s about recovery this week,” McCann added.
The Red Hands are bidding for a first ever championship win over the Royals, having lost their two previous meetings in 1996 and 2007.
