When Jim McGuinness was infamously overlooked a second time for the position of Donegal manager five years ago this October, he drove off into the night with his laptop case firmly shut.

McGuinness had meticulously prepared a PowerPoint presentation for his interview, having been given assurances there would be a facility at Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey for the visual display.
