Déise’s Carew hopes he can be one to break Kerry spell
The Déise haven’t beaten Kerry in championship football since 1957, yet hope springs eternal that Sunday’s fixture could bring an end to five decades of torment.
“I think that you have to think it’s a possibility,” he says. “The way I look at it is that every year Waterford, Limerick, Tipperary and Clare have a massive opportunity to take a big scalp. A massive opportunity, it’s there in front of them.”
