Cian Connolly’s last gasp 45 gave Roscommon Gaels a dramatic 1-9 to 1-8 success against Elphin.

Ciaran Murtagh’s scoring prowess helped St Faithleach’s to a 3-9 to 1-10 success against Kilmore. The Roscommon U21 player scored two goals in the opening quarter to put them on their way.

Ger Heneghan was Castlerea St Kevin’s star as they got the better of Strokestown by 1-12 to 0-9.

Last year’s intermediate champions St Aidan’s registered a shock one-point victory against Western Gaels in Frenchpark, winning out 1-7 to 0-9.
