With time running out, points from Pa Joy and Ciarán Sheehan looked to have given CIT victory as they held on to a one-point lead after coming back strongly in extra time, but Conor Sweeney’s injury-time free secured the draw for UCC.
While points from Conor Cox and Eoin Buckley had UCC off to a good start, they found themselves on the back foot for much of the opening quarter.
