Cronin points the way as Seandún advance
Seandún controlled the first half, especially around the middle where James Kind and Killian Brosnan were dominant. At the break they deservedly led 0-7 to 0-2. Corner-forward Paul Cronin helped himself to three points from play while there was also fine point-taking from Mark Howard, Thomas Lawrence, Kind and Donal Cremin.
However, Seandún didn’t get matters all their own way in the second half as the east Cork outfit restarted in a more positive fashion. Two points in quick succession from their main target man, Paudie Cahill, narrowed the gap to three points. Having gone without a score for over 15 minutes, a well struck free from Eric Hegarty steadied the city team and they were glad to see centre-back Eoin Murnane roam upfield a couple of minutes later to raise a crucial white flag and put them 0-9 to 0-4 ahead.
