Angry Regan fears for fate of Offaly hurling

Former Offaly star Daithi Regan has blasted the county’s senior management for the manner of the team’s Allianz Hurling League defeat to Limerick on Sunday.

And the hurling analyst is fearful for what the future holds for the game in the county in 2013 — and beyond.

He blasted: “Limerick were quicker to breaks. We played a sweeper back in the second half, which was an incredible thing to do considering Limerick play a possession game. We were pucking ball down on their half-back line and they had two or three men, drove through somebody and were able to play good ball in, so it was very, very poor.
