Rebels await Sheehan diagnosis
Sheehan had to retire after 16 minutes of Sunday’s game in Healy Park in Omagh and underwent a scan yesterday to assess the injury.
There are fears that the acromioclavicular (AC) joint is damaged, and Sheehan could miss next Saturday’s league game with All-Ireland champions Donegal in Páirc Uí Rinn.
Donncha O’Connor was the early replacement for Sheehan on Sunday, but he too was brought off injured, with Andrew O’Sullivan coming on for him in injury-time.
O’Connor is believed to have an Achilles problem, which could also rule him out of the Donegal game.
Jamie O’Sullivan and Eoin Cadogan are also carrying minor knocks but both should be available for Saturday’s game.
