Cody still all about results

As you’d expect in a game where only a point separated the sides, there were contrasting attitudes from managers Brian Cody and Eamon O’Shea in Semple Stadium yesterday.

Where many managers nowadays — including O’Shea — speak of getting a good performance and letting the result take care of itself, not so the man with an unparalleled record in inter-county GAA, Cody.

Offered the consolation that in their two defeats to begin this year’s league campaign, at least his under strength team had put in two good performances, Cody wasn’t for biting.
