Certainly. A humiliation? Absolutely. A surprise? Definitely not.

If you hadn’t seen Kildare kick a ball this year, you might have bought into the hype created by results and their perfect record. But their football so far has been a long way from perfect and their positioning at the top of the Division 1 table was more to do with the place their opponents have been in as opposed to the place they have been in.
