Kildare hang on as Kerry take time to find radar

A buoy for Kerry even if it did nothing to lift the anchor that weighs them to the foot of Division 1.

The harshest of the team’s critics these past four weeks would have to admit it’s getting better (but maybe they could proffer John Lennon’s refrain — it couldn’t get much worse).

However, as much as Kildare maintained their 100% record they can be thankful they extended it in Newbridge after seeing Kerry reel in five of the six-point lead they had sat on with 20 minutes to go.
