‘GAA Just Play’ app launched
‘GAA Just Play’ is available from the Apple apps store and will feature weekly coverage of the GAA’s top inter-county and club games.
An archive will also be created in which subscribers can access footage from past matches.
The plan is to develop the app, which is priced at 89c, over the coming weeks with various highlights from National Football and Hurling League games.
As of last night, a number of individual highlight packages such as the recent All-Ireland senior club football semi-finals were accessible on the app.
As early as his inauguration last April, GAA president Liam O’Neill voiced his support for the association expanding its presence online.
Aware that more people were watching sports events on the web, he refused to rule out the possibility of the association creating its own TV channel.
