Rebels’ Mercy support
With the county still searching for a replacement for telecommunications company O2, the decision has been taken to enter into an agreement with the Mercy Hospital Foundation to raise awareness of testicular cancer.
Micheál Sheridan, CEO of the foundation, said: “We are delighted that the Cork team will be
raising awareness of such an important issue this weekend. It is an excellent opportunity to boost the profile of testicular cancer, its prevalence in young men, and most importantly how to detect it early.”
In Dublin’s first league game last year against Kerry, they carried the logo of Suicide or Survive as Vodafone stood aside for one match, and for the last two years Galway football had entered into an agreement with Cancer Care West after they could not find a sponsor.
