Kerry star Boyle hit with 48-week suspension

Kerry hurling star Mikey Boyle has been handed a 48-week ban following an incident in a club football game.

Former county skipper Boyle was hit with the suspension following allegations he “interfered with an official” in the North Kerry SFC quarter-final between his club Ballyduff and St Senan’s last month.

The Divisional Board’s disciplinary chiefs imposed the punishment following a review of the match report from referee Eddie Barrett.
