Tipp sweat on ace attacker Callanan
Premier County medical staff were assessing the injury yesterday but early indications are that Callanan, 24, may have suffered a significant muscle tear.
The Drom & Inch star marked his return to county colours with a haul of 0-11 against Offaly in a challenge match in Templemore eight days ago.
And Callanan, who has scored 8-35 in 21 championship appearances, had notched seven points before he came off early in the second half against the Dubs.
Callanan’s injury is a fresh blow for the talented forward, who missed the 2011 and 2012 National League campaigns through injury.
