Stack taking over the reins at Stacks

Former All-Ireland winning Kerry footballer Stephen Stack will take charge of Austin Stacks in 2013.

Stack, who played and managed his native Listowel Emmets, moved to Dublin last year and the AIB Insurance official managed Wicklow side Bray Emmets.

However, he has returned to his native county and takes the role with the famed Tralee club when Wayne Quillinan stepped down after four years at the helm.

Stack, winner of All-Ireland SFC medals in 1986 and 1997, has yet to confirm his management team but a former county colleague Pa Laide is likely to join him on the sideline.

Kerry senior ladies boss William O’Sullivan, who stepped down from Killarney Legion, will now manage Tralee side Na Gael, who narrowly lost the 2102 Kerry JFC final to eventual Munster champions Kenmare.
