Shefflin injury not as bad as first feared
The hurler of the year suffered ligament damage in Saturday’s Leinster club semi-final but the recovery time is expected to be four to five weeks.
“The x-ray didn’t show up anything and we had thought he had broken his metatarsal or something,” said Ballyhale Shamrocks secretary Sean O’Sullivan.
“But the diagnosis seems to be ligament damage and four to five weeks out. If an injury can be a good one he’s got the lesser of two evils.”
