Power fires Gaels past wasteful Calry

Keith Raymond forced the game into extra-time with a late free but Calry’s death knell rang loud when they were reduced to 14 after David Collery’s dismissal.

Gaels made the first-half running but Raymond’s two scores from midfield before half-time reduced the deficit to a single score. Power found his range in the second half but Kevin Gilmartin drove two inspired scores to bring Calry level, Raymond missed three opportunities that could have secured progression and Gaels struck hard in extra-time, hitting five scores without reply.
