Crokes at full strength
Chairman and joint team manager Vince Casey last night confirmed midfielder Ambrose O’Donovan will be available after recovering from a broken finger sustained in a bicycle accident.
Casey said: “We have a full strength squad available for the first time in months. Ambrose got the cast off his finger and has returned to training.”
Casey also paid tribute to the role played by Donie Buckley, who is now involved with the physical preparations of beaten All-Ireland finalists Mayo.
“Donie played a major role in tinkering with our style a little and got the lads to maybe concentrate just as hard in ensuring that they worked as hard when they did not have the ball as when they had it.
“We all realise that playing flashy football does not win games on its own- so the players have all bought in to working that bit harder.”
